Environmental Social & Governance
Galenica has been integrating sustainability into its business for several years. We strongly believe that ESG factors (environmental, social, and corporate governance) are significant components of the entire business model. In this regard the Company is making progress on assessing and articulating a strategy which will be gradually implemented.
At this stage we may highlight several initiatives either implemented or under execution such as:
Environmental & Community
- Environmental management system certified under ISO 14001:2015 standard.
- All of its non-hazardous (SINADER) and hazardous (SIDREP) waste generated by its operation is managed in an environmentaly responsible manner by specialized companies, preventing its destination from being landfills (landfill-free).
- Galenica annually measures and verifies its corporate carbon footprint in accordance with the requirements of the HuellaChile program and NCh-ISO 14064/1:2019, which serves as a basis for communicating the company’s performance in the face of climate change to all stakeholders.
Diversity & Inclusion
- Galenica has in place a Diversity and Inclusion policy.
- By 2026, 50% of management positions will be held by women.
- Galenica staff have been trained in the course “Strategies for the labor inclusion of people with disabilities”.
