Description

Better results start with better slide making
Manual slide preparation opens up the possibility of errors and inconsistencies. These can slow down your lab and reduce your clinical effectiveness. Now you can improve slidemaking processes, while you optimize your laboratory’s hematology workflow. The DxH Slidemaker Stainer II (SMS II) prepares slides automatically based on orders received from your LIS. Select your own criteria for blood film preparation and define your own staining protocols. Receive high-quality slides on first pass, speeding the decision-making process and aiding cell classification and diagnosis. With the DxH SMS II, you can lower costs, while you ramp up productivity and quality.

Feauters:

Greater workflow efficiency
•Make and stain smears from capped whole blood tubes, open-top tubes or pediatric whole blood tubes
•Create up to four slides from a single 90 μl sample aspiration and up to 12 slides from a single sample presentation
•Extend the benefits of better slide making across as many as three DxH 900 hematology analyzers to create a connected hematology workcell
•Create multiple stain smear slides, according to any parameter results, such as a low WBC or Blast suspect flag

Tighter test control
•Track workload and identify slide locations in real time
•Reduce sample barcode label misreads with 2D barcode scanning
•Print customized information directly on slides to reduce sample misidentification

Consistently high quality
•Hemasphere technology provides consistent smears regardless of blood viscosity
•Customized motion profile accommodates preferences for smear length or shape
