Description

Bio-Rad’s EIA and IFA assays are available for the detection of thyroid, liver and pancreas autoimmune diseases.

The main assays include:
•IFA assay in rodent tissues, highly sensitive rodent kidney and stomach tissue sections are used to detect anti-mitochondrial (AMA), anti-smooth muscle (ASMA), anti-parietal cell (APCA) and other specific organ autoantibodies, to better differentiate autoantibodies from liver diseases
•Different types of kits for anti-thyroid EIA tests, including the Kallestad® Anti-Thyroglobulin (Anti-Tg) kits (qualitative/quantitative) and the Kallestad® Anti-Thyroid Peroxidase (Anti-TPO) (qualitative/semi-quantitative) kits.
•Autoimmune IFAs from monkey tissue, detect the presence of autoantibodies related to thyroglobulin and microsomal antigens, to diagnose thyroid diseases and certain non-thyroid disorders
•Semiquantitative anti-mitochondrial enzyme EIA immunoassay, to detect IgG and IgM autoantibodies specific for the M2 antigen of the mitochondrial membrane, to aid in the diagnosis of primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC)
•Assays for anti-reticulin antibodies which are found in patients with celiac disease and can be identified using rat liver, kidney, stomach IFA slides
•Autoimmune IFAs of rare tissues, help diagnose diabetes mellitus and chronic blistering vesicular diseases, such as pemphigus, pemphigoid, among others.
