Description
Bio-Rad SARS CoV-2 positive or negative controls, used as standard and execution controls to monitor the presence of SARS-CoV-2 (Coronavirus) E, N, ORF1ab, RdRP and S genes.
The EDX SARS-CoV-2 standard and execution controls have been quantified employing digital PCR and are used as reference material for new coronavirus research testing, allowing laboratories to validate assays. Also, the EDX SARS CoV-2 standard can be validated to be used as an external execution control by the laboratory.
The routine use of positive or negative controls to detect SARS CoV-2 allows laboratories to assess the daily and batch-to-batch variation of their molecular assay and test the operator’s proficiency.
